Vineland Rotary Starts Challenger League
Registration 2008 Season North Vineland Little League - Rotary Center Dr. Charles Cunningham Park North West Avenue and Wheat Road The Vineland Rotary Club currently has 18 disabled children signed up to play baseball in the new "Challenger League" a division of Little League Baseball. Games will be played at Cunningham Park located on West Avenue & Wheat Road, Vineland. Any physically or mentally challenged boy or girl ages 5 to 18 years old are eligible to participate. All participants must bring proof of age and those under 18 must have a parent/guardian present during registration. Players must live in Cumberland, Salem, Gloucester, or Atlantic Counties. Please note, to be covered by Little League Insurance participants must live within this boundary. Games are tentatively planned to be played on Saturday’s between the hours of 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm, which is a coaching commitment of one or two hours a week for eight to ten weeks. All coaches will need to be NJ State certified. The league will be picking up the registration fee at the certification class for each coach attending.
