Vineland, NJ – The Rotary Club of Vineland continues to add active and civically engaged members to its rolls. At its April 11 membership luncheon, held at the Ramada of Vineland, new member Donna Perez was installed. With more than 80 members, the Vineland Club is the second largest in Rotary District 7640, which encompasses southern New Jersey.
Former club president Ed Duffy introduced Perez at the start of the induction ceremony. She was sponsored by Ken Dondero and Sherry Soutiere.
The ceremony was officiated by Susanna Philippoussis, the club president, who noted that Rotarians provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world. As signified by the motto “Service Above Self,” Rotary’s main objective is service in both the workplace and the community.
“We are pleased to welcome Donna Perez into the Vineland Rotary Club. She has a strong commitment to family and community and through her experience and compassion she will only enhance the Vineland Rotary Club,” Philippoussis said.
Perez is a financial consultant with Wells Fargo Advisors, LLC in the Vineland area. She said, “I have known many of the Vineland Rotary members for years and I have always thought of them as people of integrity as well as people who put others before self both locally and globally. It is an honor to be a part of this time-honored institution.”
Rotary is an international organization of more than 1.2 million business, professional, and community leaders. There are 33,000 Rotary clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas. Clubs are nonpolitical, nonreligious, and open to all cultures, races, and creeds.
